GAVIN R STEVENS FOUNDATION
1st Annual Gavin’s Golf Classic

Chino, California - Volunteer based non-profit 501(c)(3)organization, Gavin R Stevens Foundation is holding its 1st Annual Gavin’s Golf Classic.

The Gavin R Stevens Foundation (GRSF) is currently focusing efforts on the golf tournament. The hope is to raise awareness and increase funding to find treatment and a cure for blindness, focusing on Leber’s Congenital Amaurosis (LCA). GRSF was inspired by 21 month old, Gavin Stevens, who was born with LCA, and is blind. Currently, there are only approximately 3,000 individuals in the country with this rare eye disease. There is also no known cure.

Gavin’s Golf Classic will take place at El Prado Golf Course (6555 Pine Ave. Chino, CA) on September 10, 2010. Shotgun start at 12:30pm, registration opens at 11am. Foursome and individual golfers are welcome, $125 per golfer, which includes dinner and raffle. There will be a “blind putting contest”, as well as a “hole in one contest”, at a designated hole. The winner of the hole in one contest will receive a brand new Chevy Camaro, courtesy of Mark Christopher Chevrolet.

Three different level packages are available for our sponsors, which include various opportunities for company advertising. Raffle items for the dinner portion of the event are needed. Raffle tickets will be sold the day of the event. Dinner tickets are also available for non-golfers.

The hope is to raise $20,000 during this charity fundraising golf tournament.
